Pink Pumpkin Painting Party
UF&Shands hosted its first Pink Pumpkin Painting Party on Saturday, October 15 in honor of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The UF&Shands Pink Pumpkin Patch was a sight to behold on the lawn of the Cancer/Genetics Research Complex at the corner of Gale Lemerand Drive and Archer Road,
and more than 500 members of the Gainesville community and UF&Shands employees joined the party to pick out a pumpkin to paint pink, decorate and take home for display and to help spread the word about early detection of breast cancer to save lives.
